REGIONAL ENERGY TRADE UNIONS NETWORK OF SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE

A SHORT HISTORY OF RETUN SEE FOUNDATION

In the region of S.E.Europe there were the under mentioned 3 Networks in the Energy Sector .

• The Public Services International Trade Unions Network for S.E.Europe

• The Electric Energy and Mining Trade Unions for Balkan and S.E Mediterranean Network(ICEM Member Network )

• The Oil, Gas and Chemical Industry Trade Unions of S.E. Europe Network.

European Union established Energy Community , as it was clear that the crucial conditions that appear in the Energy Sector should need essential interventions .

It was inevitable that the trade unions that participated in the above 3 mentioned networks decided to coordinate their action and create a joint trade-union network.
RETUN SEE was established in order to confront and examine everything that will be planned and be decided by the energy community for the benefit of the Workers in our region .

Therefore after a number of presidium meetings of the three networks in S.E. Europe (Network of Electric Energy & Mining Trade Unions for Balkan and S.E.Europe , PSI Network ,Oil Gas & Chemical Industry Trade Unions Network of S.E.Europe ) our unification in the Regional Energy Trade Unions Network of S.E.
